WTB: Reginaphone turntable

Post by fonograph »

Would prefer an original (of course), but would certainly settle for a repro. Or a lead for someone who can make one.

Bob,
I believe that Al Meekins sells good reproductions. You can google him to get his website.

Columbia made most of the phonograph parts for Regina- could a standard Grafonola turntable be modified?

That's what I'm thinking....the original that I've seen is a standard 10" CI turntable with "about" 2" extension on the spindle to clear the sides of the box. A decent welder could modify an orignial columbia turntable in just a few minutes.....now....if I can find an original turntable...

Contact George Vollema- or just about anyone. Because of tone arm breakage there are lots of Columbia disc machine parts available.

I do not claim expertise about Reginaphones but I own a complete one and an incomplete one. The complete one plays 11" (? not sure of exact size) disks and has a 10" turntable. The incomplete one plays 15" disks and the only phonograph part included was a 12" turntable. Is that correct for the larger machine? I have extra 12" Columbia turntables if that helps you. I believe Regina used Columbia parts for their machines and the turntable was modified with an extension. Jerry Blais
