The eBay link above refers to a sold (for £40!) item, a period advertisement featuring a "Gramonella", which is why I have not posted it in that section. It looked sufficiently interesting to justify some research, and I found the other two images on line.
Diego Fuchs (1st May 1876/7th November 1941) is said to have founded the first mechanical music factory in Prague. At least one of his barrel pianos survives. Of Jewish ancestry, he was deported during WW2 and died in captivity.
Perhaps one of our East European members can tell us more about Diego Fuchs and his Gramonella.

Great find and a bargain! I wished I had seen it first. Diego Fuchs introduced "Gramonella", a battery-driven mixture of gramophone and orchestrion, at the Leipzig trade fair in March 1909.

I think the buyer must be located outside the UK as they paid GBP£8.90 postage. The seller quoted GBP£1.00 postage within the UK.
