FOR SALE: EARLY Victor Red Seal Deluxe and Monarch Records- Various

Post by gramophone-georg »

Here's some nice early Victor offerings that are seldom seen.
Due to the amount of work involved, I am going to try to skate without having to photo, save, and upload each one. HOWEVER, if you really want to see photos of a record, pls feel free to PM for one.

As usual, all prices are OBO, and if you have any decent G&T 7" instrumental records to trade... that works too. Please note that very early shellac is quite difficult to grade accurately, as pressing bumps and noise as well as other factory defects can be present even on the most pristine examples. I'll seldom grade any disc from this era above V+, but there are exceptions.

Finally- if you are unhappy with a purchase for any reason, we can agree on an adjustment or a return, and in case of a return I'll cover the postage back to me.

Payment via PayPal "Friends and Family" ONLY or your good check! Happy hunting!

10" "MONARCH RECORD" red seals:
1. 5030, Jan Kubelik, violin- "Lucia Sextette". Visual V, plays a little better. Slight rough start, one stressed groove, misc shellac bumps, one blister. All pass on my equipment. Slight needle runs on label. G&T pressing with the angel on back. Notes in grease pencil on back. These VERY early 5000 series Red Monarchs are impossibly scarce. $200
SOLD 2. 81003, Mlle. Zellie de Lussan, "Connais tu le pais". This one's a beauty- visual E with gorgeous label, and plays about as well as possible. $125
SOLD 3. 81007, de Lussan, "Habanera" from Carmen, visual V++ that plays almost E-, slight label fade and slight needle run on label. $75
4. 81009, de Lussan, "La Paloma". Visual V to V little - due to scuffing. Nice label with faint needle runs. $60
5. 81011, Sig. Giuseppe Campanari, "Toreador Song" from Carmen, visual V, scuffy copy with moderate label fade. $50
