It is an interesting video....with a few concerns here and there.

Thanks for posting it.
He'll find his way as he discusses it with other enthusiasts.
It was a nice presentation and two fine phonographs.
James.

Re: Techmoan’s new video!
Another "blitz" by Techmoan in the field of electro-mechanical music!
I'll take the chance to thank the fellows who linked his video about the HMV 102 a pair of years ago. Before that, I didn't know about Techmoan's channel, and I enjoyed it immensely. I subscribed to it right away, and later his clips kept me company during the lockdowns. I've found countless topics that interested me very much in his older videos, especially those about niche music formats. He's a very amusing chap with a great sense of humour, some of his passages are truly hilarious. I also like the average tech level of his clips: in deep enough to be interesting, but not too deep to get bored of. Many times I wished I had his phone number, and that we could chat about some sides of our common interests. I consider him a friend of mine, although we will possibily never talk to each other.
This video is quite on par with that about the 102: he's admittedly not an expert of the matter (I appreciate his understatement) but somehow he finds his way through, and chats about many interesting sides in the meanwhile. Well done!

Re: Techmoan’s new video!
Time for another digression into 78s for Techmoan! This time he's trying to set up a cheap chain to play 78s records on a modern turntable with a lightweight pick up. Possibly not the most straightforward way to do it, and indeed he runs into several issues, but he ends up with a working and quite decent set up!

Re: Techmoan’s new video!
I follow Techmoan videos since a long time, most are very entertaining, and all are professionally produced, some older ones had even muppet shows at the end. Gramophones and early music are only a footnote in his output, which concentrates on the unusual and oddball audio and video products that ended up as commercial flops - most of which I had never heard of before, like tapes played with needles, VW Kombis that play records while driving on them, giant cassettes etc.

I *loved* his muppet outros, and also the rare occasions in which a muppet "digression" would occurr during a serious part of the videoclip!
