Is anyone familiar with this record (or sheet music) cabinet?
Thanks for any info.

Very hard to tell from just one exterior shot but I'd say its a sheet music cabinet- or possibly a piano roll cabinet if the shelves are close together

Re: Record Cabinet?
Still hard to tell- I think that the shelves have been changed or moved. With record cabinets you usually find record racks or multiple shelves to hold albums- when there is one shelf you'll usually find that 10 inch albums will stand on top and 12 inch under.
What ever the shelves or original purpose I'd say it's a nice but fairly ordinary cabinet from the 1900's-early 20's.

Re: Record Cabinet?
I've seen quite a few record cabinets with one shelf that divides the two storage areas. If there is no vertical decorative trim on the top (back stopper or ???), and the cabinet is basically square (it may be slightly wider than it is deep), it is probably a record cabinet. It's my best guess that the cabinet in the photo is a record cabinet. Jerry Blais
