The auctioneers speculate that this might be a Perophone, but it does not look like any Perophone I have seen.
The design is reminiscent of Klingsor but without the strings across the horn mouth, which is circular on the Klingsor.

Yes, the design resembles the Klingsor stripped of its typical strings. It seems that they were relatively popular in England, judging from the machines that pop up every now and then, so it could also be some local imitation made by a furniture manufacturer.
