Thanks Mark. I'm thinking a brass bushing soldered to a piece of plate brass and then nickel plated should be an easy make.. I'm off to the hardware store LOL

Hello,
One thing that no one has mentioned yet, unless I missed it, is the size of the decal on the lid. Not only is the green oak an indicator of a later model lid, but so is the size of the decal. The later model Q's had a smaller banner decal than the earlier models, and it also only mentions New York and London, and not New York, London, Paris, and Berlin, as on the earlier decals. And, also, the dates on Grand Prize decal on the back indicate the time period--if it has Milan, it is after 1906. Earlier Q's didn't have this decal on the back. My Green Oak Q only has the St. Louis 1904 date on the decal.
