Since the recent post of the Mobley reproducers, I have been thinking about the other variant types such as Blackman, Fletcher and Horsley. For this post I will limit it to Horsley Automatic reproducers. Horsley reproducers are extremely rare and I at least know of one and possibly two, if the Horsley reproducer mentioned in the Frow Edison Cylinder Companion is not the one currently in my collection. There is limited information on these reproducers, but all I know if they have a domed top and the dome is marked Horsley, Bayonne, NJ. Does anyone else know anything more on these reproducers or does anyone have one they can share photos of? I also wonder if any Horsley recorders were produced.
Thank you.

Re: Horsley Reproducers
These variants, i suppose, were marketed as having better performance than the Edison reproducers, or at cheaper prices...? What were their supposed advantages? Just for curiosity from a cylinder profane...

Re: Horsley Reproducers
Although the reproducer business didn’t do well the company became a big player in the movie business.

It's interesting to see the responses. I wonder what type of literature exists on variant reproducers or if there wasn't any due to patent infringements

Very nice Scott. Your's is the second one I've seen. The other was back in 1998 in Japan.
