Early Home Phonograph

Post by mariof »

Hi,
I have a question about early Edison Home Phonographs...
I note that the Suitcase model did not have the scroll/spiral at the front of the top casting, but when did it appear? Should every red banner Home in the new style case have it? Or was it more transitional? Please see pic for reference...

Cheers,
Mario

Mario,
I have a suitcase Home serial number H8218 that does not have the spiral and I also have suitcase Home serial number H26372 which does have the spiral. See pics. Hope this helps.

Thank you, it helps, but I wonder do we see the long case without the spiral?
