The half nut bar on my Triumph looks much like that, except it has a little dogleg to it, instead of being straight.

Is the “dogleg” the part I circled in the other photo?
No. See the picture I included below for an example of the Triumph "offset" half nut bar. They're far less common than conventional Triumph half nut bars.

So my Triumph spring and half nut are supposed to be like that?

Which of the four screws do I adjust for the tracking?

"So my Triumph spring and half nut are supposed to be like that?"

No. What you have looks correct.

Why do you want to adjust the ½ nut tracking? Does it skip while playing? How would even know if it does, since you can't play it with your current brake/speed control issue?

Just in case if it has to be done afterwards. I’m nervous I’m gonna damage something else (especially the tracking bar) while fixing the speed control /brake issue. Maybe I’m overthinking it. I need to set the machine aside until I order and get that part. Take it one at a time…😅

Oh my goodness... Please relax. At the end of the day, it's just a "thing" and not a human life. You're not going damage anything else if you can just remain calm. :)

No: the bar has a little jog to one side, before straightening out again.

Well I just had an incident where I think I damaged to my 3 pin Amphenol aux cable to my Meissner record cutter. Earlier today it worked and passed a signal though the amp fine. A few hours later and now has decided it doesn’t want to work! I’m just having every Murphy’s Law thing happen.

But that cable is still under warranty and gonna be fixed.

Is it possible someone somehow may have wedged that mystery nut in, either under the yoke or the spring, to make the repro yoke work as it should?

If so, it wouldn't be a permanent solution obviously but it may at least make the machine usable until a replacement yoke can be found.

Well I’m proud to say I got that replacement YOKE (I’ve been spelling it wrong) ordered! Hopefully that fixes one of many things going wrong on me. 😅

I got the cygnet attached to it too!
