I am looking for a nice, later ORIGINAL US Berliner hold down nut. The one without the hole through the top. I will gladly pay your price. Or, I have the following available for trade:
Original hold down nut for a Victor A, B, C
Original hold down nut for a Victor E, M, MS
Original hold down nut for a Victor R
Take a look in your drawers, see what you have!!!
Thanks for your help. [email protected]

Do you have a picture of the one you're looking for?

Re: Wanted - Original Berliner Hold Down Nut
Ken,
Great question. Here is a picture of the hold down nut I am looking for. There are a couple of small details that make a Berliner hold down nut different from an early Victor hold down nut. The most obvious is the direction of the hashing on the knob. On a Berliner hold down nut, the hashing on the knob looks goes in this direction \\\\\\\ as in the picture.
On an early Victor hold down nut, the hashing on the knob goes in the opposite direction, like this ////////
Its a small, but very important detail. There are a couple of other less obvious differences.
If anyone has a hold down nut like in the picture, a Berliner hold down they would like to sell outright, I will purchase at your price. I also have the other original nuts to trade. Check your machines, you may have an incorrect one on yours!!!!
Thank you! [email protected]

Re: Wanted - Original Berliner Hold Down Nut
Do have the hold down nut you are looking for but probably not in the condition you are looking for. Came to me in very rough condition with lots of corrosion. Re-plated the best the plater could do given the condition. Not much of the edge bevel left and they did what they could cleaning up the knurl. Thought this might not work for you but am offering it up so you could take a look.
