I like to share a few pictures of my latest restoration project, this Spanish " new Phono " Horn gramo got very well balanced proportions and almost all the Parts ..a few srcews missing .
But more important all the Trade Marks Orig Sound Box and what i believe to be the Original Motor . So far i cleaned the Body and aplied some shellack polish to see how the Color comes to life.
by Tomorrow i should start with cleaning the Horn , I keep the original colour and do some touch up where its needed, i plan soft restoration , it needs to show its age.
Online i found a Video of a modell 12 no other information . Last picture
Ps the Trademark is Pretty much a Joke .

Re: Restoration Project Spanish Horn Gramo " New Phono " no 13
It's a beautiful machine. I see several things... One is the model ID plate, which says it's no. 13.
New phono was a well known Barcelona supplier of records and gramophones, judging by the myriads of 78s carrying the dealer sticker of this store.
What is curious is the decal on the horn. There are two tax stamps stuck over the decal, which are from the Spanish republican era, so they're from 1931-1939. I didn't know that gramophones of this type were sold so late!!! Very curious!!!

Dear Inigo
Thanks a lot thats really usefull information i am thinking about that sticker if i remove it or leave it on since it covers the Trade Mark , But i just decided not to touch it , since its a piece of evidence about the history of this Machine . I hope to find some Gramophone supply Cataloges from St Croix where Thorens comes from i guess its one of St Croix s early Motors .
Thanks again for the Help
Regards
Martin
