Looking to verify Model
Hi there, I'm brand new to the hobby, I've just recently found this Victor Phonograph from my mom's closet. I wanted to see if anyone could confirm the model it is? The condition isn't great after browsing the forum, so I'm just looking to get the model verified. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It would be nice to see the entire machine. 
From what can be seen it's a Mahogany Victor Model V Phonograph (VIC V 46462A).
Very uncommon in Mahogany.

A Victor V in mahogany, there was one other came across here, if that's what it is, it's unusual, they were made in OAK.
Others will chime in here for sure and correct me.
A better photo of the entire cabinet and motor would be helpful.
Push the tab down above the name plate and it will open to reveal the motor, should be triple spring.
What kind of horn does it have wood or steel ?

This sure looks like a Victor IV to me. The ID plate indicating "Vic V" is confusing though. But as soon as I saw the base molding and the diamond shape escutcheon (that most Victor IV's have) surrounding the push button lift lever my immediate thought was that this is a Victor IV with a "Vic V" ID plate. I realize that some Victor V's have the diamond shape escutcheon as well but this one just looks Victor IV.
Obviously, I could be WAY off here
and a picture of the entire machine would prove that I'm wrong. But it sure looks like a Victor IV by the limited information in the picture.

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies so far! I'm traveling today but I'm going to get a family member to take some more photos to post. I'll look up some videos too on how to safely remove the handle and see the mechanism. I know the table still turns at a good speed, so that's hopefully a good sign?
