Record rack and Victor II

Post by Phono-Phan »

I followed up on a previous lead to pick up an old record storage rack that was used at a radio station, WFHR, years ago. The rack had almost 1500 records in it. Only a handful were anything worthy of playing. Lots of Ken Griffin at the organ and the like. There was a Mercury picture record which made it all worth it. I contacted them to arrange going to pick up the record rack. Soon after, I got a call from someone that wanted to sell an old phonograph. I got their address and it was two houses away from where the record rack was. It ended up being a humpback Victor II with an aftermarket flowered horn. The Victor needs a bit of work but should clean up. After getting the Victor, I backed out of the driveway and went two doors down to pick up the record rack.

This couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! If you keep picking things up at the rate you have lately, you will never get a chance to relax during your retirement! Keep up the good work!
