Tan Shoes with a Full-Dress Suit—Victor 1928

Some colorful and perhaps persuasive sales talk from the Victor Advertising Department!

Clearly an advertisement from days gone by. The wife never states her own opinion but consistently quotes her husband. He's clearly the one with authority. Nowadays dear ol' dad (or husband or boyfriend) is a dumbass, has hard time keeping up, and clearly doesn't have a clue. Can't we find a happy medium?

Tan shoes with a full dress suit is a pretty vivid word picture!

I wonder if there's an equivalent modern example of such a dichotomy. Perhaps wearing a shirt tucked in?? :)
