Fantastic! Many congratulations Graham, it's a real beauty!emgcr wrote: Tue Oct 18, 2022 10:47 am I am very pleased to be the lucky buyer and can also say it arrived in excellent order having been well packaged. I am told it has not been used for many decades so will require a full service but plays quite well at present. The leather handle with Patent stamp is present but the ends have broken---an easy repair.

Very many thanks Ahmed. This little brother is great but is as nothing compared to your incredible result last week. Gilbert is a once in a lifetime discovery.

Many congratulations to you for having had the gumption, courage and sheer energy to travel over the Alps and back in such a short period of time to secure that unique and wonderful EMG Xb---near Oversize. Brilliant in all respects ! What a sound..............

Re: HMV Teak Colonial 101 on Ebay ends soon
I saw this 101 early on, and somehow convinced him to ship it, but the price went up a little higher than I wanted to pay once he bothered to update the auction with the shipping cost. I know rare and all, but I like the ergonomics of the side winders much more, and I’m more about use than looking at things. I was a little perturbed that he wanted £35 to ship within the UK, when everyone else usually asks about £10 to do the same. It would have cost another 60-80 to ship to the states once I got it to a kind soul in the UK who would have been willing to forward it to me. Glad to see it went to a good home, Graham!

I have a teak side winder for sale but it needs restoration due to clumsy handling by Royal Mail. All the parts are there but need gluing together and touching up.
