Hello all,
Not long ago I bought this Victor album set I had not seen before. Unfortunately, the records are missing. I'm looking for super clean copies of the following records:
Victor 19991 Lewis James
Victor 19992 Victor Salon Orch.
Victor 19993 Henry Burr
I'm assuming by the catalog numbers that these are batwing releases, but I'm not positive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Steve

Re: Seeking three Victor records
According to the Discrography of American Historical Recordings:
19991 coupled "The Dearest Spot is Home" (Della Baker, Lewis James, rec. 3/9/1926) and "Little Mother of Mine" (Lewis James, rec. 3/15/1926)
19992 coupled "Long, Long Ago" and "Silver Threads Among the Gold" (both Victor Salon Or., rec. 3/10/1926)
19993 coupled "Erminie: Lullaby" (Della Baker, rec. 3/15/1926) and "Dreaming of Home and Mother" (Henry Burr, rec. 3/18/1926)
All were black label popular series records. From the recording dates, I imagine they would have been scroll label issues.
I hope that helps--good luck with your search. Neat album.

Re: Seeking three Victor records
As a note, I was able to find a copy of 19992 on eBay that is on the batwing label. I won't be buying it, however, since the condition is a little less than what I'm looking for. It's also way too expensive for what it is. That being said, I would like batwing copies. Thanks.

Re: Seeking three Victor records
Maybe someone saw your post and decided to cash in!
https://www.ebay.com/itm/185628434094?h ... R571qbCAYQ
Also two batwings of 19992 on eBay as well.
On a side note I believe I have an excellent copy of 19992 and can check when I get home. Let me know if you need it.

That's certainly possible, though I doubt there will be much " cashing in"Dischoard wrote: Sun Oct 23, 2022 12:08 am Maybe someone saw your post and decided to cash in!

If I am not mistaken---I saw that on Ebay, yesterday. Will go on Ebay and see if I can locate it again.
