Wanted: The Charleston record
I’ve got a copy of the Charleston on Edison diamond disc. Are there any good vintage versions to play in my VV 8-9 schoolhouse orthophonic? I can’t seem to find any. Thanks for the advice!

Your best bet is probably to buy one of donniej's resin copies (if he still makes them). Originals are all very expensive. You may want to search the board for prices on sold copies.

This the version we usually see in the UK, where good copies fetch at least £100 :

I have a copy by Whiteman on Victor but that'll be pricey.

I have the British HMV recording on a French pressing Gramophone K-3076. It's the only copy I've ever found in Madrid.

I have spare copies of the Whiteman version on early electric batwing Victor as well as Ben Selvin on Vocalion and Isham Jones on Brunswick available. PM me for details if interested.KCW wrote: Wed Nov 02, 2022 8:37 am I’ve got a copy of the Charleston on Edison diamond disc. Listened to all three online - I really like the Vocalion and Brunswick versions, the victor one I place in third place. Looking forward to learning more!

I have a copy that I'd be happy to sell. It's in pretty good shape and will be cheaper than the Brunswick OR Victor versions.
