A few weeks ago, I took a drive down to Cape Cod, to pick up a free collection given to me by a private collector. Over 300 Victor/Victrola Red Seals. I found out about this set via a Craigslist posting.
The message here? While many collectors may look down on such a collection, to me, it was nirvana. There were also early European Tetrazzini releases, and one disc of the first Beethoven 5th symphony from the Berlin Philharmonic. But to me, this collection was absolutely must have, and will likely provide me with years of enjoyment.
Most importantly, there are alternatives to eBay, that are local, and in some cases? Free!

I'd suggest you put a "Wanted" ad in Music Trader. You'll find many of us have records we can sell you.qdod wrote: Fri Nov 11, 2022 3:45 pm Would you be willing to sell any to a new guy...... I just bought a VV-50 and need some records. Preferably Jazz..........??
(And FYI, in case you didn't know, Victor Red Seals are all classical, no jazz that I'm aware of.)
