VICTOR HORN SUPPORT?? COULD IT BE??

I have what I think is a horn support for the larger front mount horns on the Rigid Arm Victor M's and MS's. I know this has been discussed before but everyone always wonders what the front mount delete block with the hole is for. This would explain why it has a hole in it so that it can support the horn down low or the elbow. It is somewhat adjustable. This would answer some of the larger screw in front mount horn and what they are really for. Yes, I know Victor did make extended arms for some of the sizes of the front mount horns. Just a thought. Let me know your thoughts. In the pictures I have it attached to a 27" front mount horn. And yes, I realize it should be a flat head screw. Thanks, Tom

I think that might be the lamp clamp for an old Jas. Smith & Sons "Victor" light stand. The company is now known as Smith-Victor, but until the mid-50's, all of Smith's light stands were marketed under the Victor brand name. They were sold to studio photographers in different configurations.
