For Sale or Trade: Columbia BGT 2/4 min..

I have an extra Columbia BGT. It is complete, running and has 2/4 minute gearing and reproducer. Has a nickel horn that is in good shape. The cabinet has some crazing /darkening as does the lid. $1600 - Also willing to trade.. Currently looking for a nice Edison Spring motor or Columbia AH, AJ or an interesting Lakeside or US machine (I used to work for Montgomery ward and have always wanted a nice lakeside phono.)

Inquiring minds what to know if the banner decal is on the back bracket side???

It is... interestingly I found a thread on another BGT that was setup this way.. One thing that having the hinge and the other decal on the front allows is for the motorboard to be lifted all the way up to latching position. My other BGT which is setup in the way you would expect with the banner on the front, it hits the tone arm bracket so can't go high enough to latch.... Must have been done from the factory because the crank hole is in the correct spot for it to be setup this way.
