It's on the bedplate of an apparently French Columbia B clone... Could it be a French "Styx" logo/trademark?

This reproducer on this machine is marked "Le Styx." "STYX" is also stamped into the deck under the mandrel.

I rotated the image (as best I could approximate) to see if the Google Lens search would pick anything up, and no luck there. For those that don't know, in google chrome, if you right click on an image, you can "Search image with Google", and google will find similar images. Can also do this with photos taken on your android phone within the photos app. I have no idea how it works behind the scenes, but it occasionally comes in handy.
