Post by Shawn »

Folks,

Lets start the new year off with a bang!!

I have a a couple of these lamps (named Combination or Portable lamps) hung in my phonograph room with reproduction period bulbs (See next picture). Wow do they add character.

Today I have my two last available portable lamps for sale
  • Both of these are original combination/ portable lamps patented in January 29, 1895. I've attached the patent for the lamp.
  • Both have aged to a nice rose brass patina
  • Both are very special as they are made by Hubbel.
Hubbell Incorporated was founded in 1888 by Harvey Hubbell II. Hubbell's best-known inventions are the U.S. electrical plug and the pull-chain light socket. Hubbel made some of the highest quality lamps available at the turn of the century.
  • Both of these retain the original Hubble pull chain socket with the mica insert.
LAMP 1 - $225.00 SOLD
This lamp is all original, except the new, correct, period looking wire. Even the plug is an original. The lamp works and presents exceptionally well.

LAMP 2 - $185.00 SOLD
This lamp is all original, except the new, correct, period looking wire, a new plug, and a replaced chain pull on the original Hubbel socket. The lamp works and presents exceptionally well.

These are the last portable lamps I have available. Portable lamps are pretty hard to find and really make a phonograph room.

Shipping only is additional on each lamp.

Contact me at [email protected] with interest.

Thank you!
