Need Help on Identifying a Machine...

Post by ticticdok »

I just purchased this with a large collection and have no idea what machine it might be. The works just sit on top of the bottom section and when not in use, it can flip over and fit inside, latched and carried by a handle. Looks like a foreign machine but have no idea. your help would be appreciated. Thanks! John

That's a "Crown" premium phonograph: https://www.edisontinfoil.com/crown.htm

It's very scarce, though that doesn't necessarily translate to valuable. Still, a great find! (The reproducer appears to be from a Columbia Q -- it will work, but it's not the original design.)
