ACHTUNG! 10-35 Alert

Good seller, willing to take an offer, in Winston- Salem NC but seems he's open to shipping.
These are absolutely fantastic units that do not take up half an acre like a 10-50. This is the upgraded design changer that solved all the problems of the original as well- an absolute beach to overhaul but seems this one works well, and once they're working lube them up every 6 months and you're golden.

Someone here needs to GRAB THIS.
Gunnar, you've been looking for a 10-50... this is all of the coolness of an early Victor changer without the pot metal BS and the Gigantor footprint.

Looks like the "horns" on the upper changer shelf are missing- my understanding is that they're not really necessary. The rubber needle rest is gone, but Carlton sells a complete changer rubber kit for these along with a parts manual (electrolaman64).

The grille cloth looks good too.

Nice! If I did not already have one I'd be bribing you already. Thanks!

I own one of these machines, and I agree they are fine changers when properly maintained, and the sound is great, owing to the exponential metal orthophonic horn. The missing "horns" you mention are important, in my opinion, because they are designed to be the final record separators in case two records happen to be pushed up together towards the loading ring, which then drops the record down onto the turntable.
Anyone making an offer on this should take this into consideration, as they'd be hard to fabricate, and I've never come across incomplete machines to harvest the needed parts.

Good luck if anyone gets this!

I listed the 10-35 on ebay. The horns are missing, but works great without them. Ive only had an issue when playing non Victor discs on occasion, usually with the thicker Columbia discs.

Feel free to PM if you are interested in buying. Machine is located in Massachusetts, not sure why my ebay still says NC.

I have the horns intact on mine, and I use them because they are there. Even so, I've found that if records are not ALL settled all the way back, or if one is warped, it will try to eject two even with the horns.

You may be right, though. I'm an enthusiast, not an expert.

That's you? I had no idea. I just won a pile of records from you on eBay. I have in the past, too. In fact, Peter F was just asking me who the seller is and I drew a complete blank!

Best of luck with the sale.

I should point out, I dont WANT to sell this machine, but my position as Director of Music and Organist at my job was eliminated, which means I lost my large office space where this and my 10-50 are located along with hundreds of records. So I hope it goes to a good home, its a really fun machine and it kills me to sell it.

Damn. Sorry to know this. I got the impression you really didn't want to sell it from your listing. Sending you a PM- about something else.

Matt’s a cool dude and I hope one of us can help him out. I would love to own a type 2 changer myself but I’m on the wrong coast. (Lest there be confusion, that’s the wrong coast to grab the big beautiful machine, but the right coast for everything else, of course)
