Any suggestions for a brass cleaner?

Probably covered elsewhere, but here goes: I have a brass horn with ome spots of green oxidation (from the copper in the brass). I've run out of the copper polish I already had. It worked OK, but I thought I might try something new. There's quite a few brass and copper cleaners on the market. I recognize the name Brasso but I've never used it. Any suggestion what to use? what not to use?

I like "MAAS" metal polish. I don't know if anyone else on the forum has tried it. If you do try it, you might test it on something that you're not worried about messing up. Wouldn't want to lead you astray.

Both Maas and Simichrome (the same stuff, I think) are great and are also safe form shining nickel plating.

I recently bought a phonograph at the NC show, with a very poor-looking metal horn. In fact, I tried to give the horn away and had no takers. Unfortunately I didn't take any "before" pictures, but after about an hour of polishing with Flitz here's how it came out:

Just be sure you get it fully wiped out of all the nooks and crannies. After it's sat for a while, Brasso turns a sort of chalky color that is very obvious.

I find this works really well on heavy oxidization.
Works well with a buffing wheel too.

A bit expensive though, but a real time saver.
I use wool felt that's been wetted for application.

Thanks again to everyone. I'm still working my horn. Some very stubborn spots. but with persistence they are coming out. Whatever time it takes--hours--to clean 90% of the horn, it takes at least double that to clean the last 10%.
