HMV Showroom Curtain?
Has any seen anything like this before? It purports to be a "RCA Victor Showroom Curtain"? The shop is asking $100 for it which seems steep to me, but what do I know.

Real or replica or fake, $100 for a patch of old cloth is still pretty high.

Possibly drapery or window covering used by some authorized dealer. I've spotted something similar -- https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ ... g-74494432
I agree, $100 seems steep.

A piece of this fabric, 45" X 80", recently sold on ebay for $108 including shipping [ebay]https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=RC ... Complete=1[/ebay] (see pic below). There was only one bidder. The material came in several different color combinations, and could/can be used for curtains, pillows, backdrops, etc.
I have a large piece of this cloth (45" X 252" --- yes, 21' long), which is light grey with maroon print.
For more info on this versatile fabric, check out Nipper Collectibles, by Robin and Joan Rolfs. While your at it, check out all three volumes!

Re: HMV Showroom Curtain?
These were used as curtains for rca listening rooms . They are common to find large pieces.

Re: HMV Showroom Curtain?
I've had both the source material and some very small curtains almost identical to this since the early 1990's, the latter of which was purchased from the Late Ruth Lambert, "Queen of the Needle Tins", as she was known. Both the material and curtains are yellowy orange background, not blue. It is a rare find either way.
I think the small curtain is particular unusual but it was considerably more than $100 over 30 years ago, I do remember that!

This brochure illustrates the colors that were available in the US at this time. I think this dates from 1956.
