OT-NZ earthquakes

Post by gramophoneshane »

I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish any of our members & guests from New Zealand well, in this time of devistation due to the earthquakes that have destroyed Christchurch & some surrounding towns.
I'm sure we have some members or lurkers from the Vintage Phonograph Society of New Zealand (which is based in Christchurch) here on the board, so I hope we can all keep them in our thoughts & prayers.

Although we haven't been affected directly by the quake here in Auckland it is still awful watching the story unfold on tv. Because there are so few people in NZ (about 5million) most people here know someone affected by it.
A dark day indeed for NZ and far far worse impact than the one to hit Christchurch back in September.

Latest report indicates that 75 are confirmed dead and 300 are currently listed as missing. A tragedy.
