Crystalate documentary

Post by Orchorsol »

Here's a radio documentary on the Crystalate company, which produced many English 78 labels up until 1937. It has some interesting first-hand accounts of record manufacturing in the 1930s.

I was involved in making this all of 21 years ago, but have hesitated to upload it due to copyright concerns - but I see lots of other BBC material all over YouTube so it's probably fine.

Thanks Chunny and Carlos!

Chunny, if you also wanted to put it on your website, that would be fine with me. Not sure if it would fit the Gramophone Museum remit though - as you wish!
