This definitely looks like just another Florida grifter. Exercise caution, or move along. They turn up pretty regularly, and are definitely fun to own, but this one might not be a good bet.
I have one of these in oak, with matching record cabinet, although on the opposite coast. It actually exists and is in my possession, which may be an additional advantage over the one on eBay. It isn’t necessarily for sale, but if you’re looking for one, gimme a holler.
