Pictures from the Phonograph Show 2023
It is always fun to attend the phonograph show and this year was no exception. I didn't spend a lot of money, but what I did buy made me happy. My thanks to all that worked hard to organize this event.
"You can't take the phonographs nor the money with you, but the contentment the phonographs bring may well make your life better, and happier lives make the world a better place."

I like that beautiful Kurtzmanola glass upright.
Shows are delightful and I am glad you enjoyed your trip!

How much was that BY with matching cabinet? Oh wait never mind. I think I can read the photo… it says $6500?
Looks like a great show! One day I’ll be able to attend!

I would love that Kurtzmann...

Yes. Very cool. Very modern looking in some ways, like a Rega.

Here's one in action, playing an Edison disk.

Does anyone know whether the Kurtzmann sold, and if so, the price realized? $4k seems a bit high, but one never knows.
I’m redoing our will right now and try to keep the estimated values updated so the kids don’t get completely screwed over after I kick the bucket.
Kurtzmann phonos really tend to be found in the wild only in western New York State, near the place of origin. Hard to move safely, apparently!

Thanks for sharing. It would be cool if somebody would do a walkthrough video and put it on youtube for us to digitally stroll through the show.

Re: Pictures from the Phonograph Show 2023
I thought this years APS Midwest Expo was better than last year's event. There were many unusual machines such as: Edison H coin slot, Edison Standard under glass with Polyphone attachment, Edison Class M, Pathé with glass horn, several Trademark machines, and a wonderful assortment of Zonophones and much more. The banquet had good entertainment, great food (with an assortment of vegetarian choices), and a well run silent auction.
