Help identifying cylinders

Post by dzavracky »

Hello all,

I recently got around to re-arranging my cylinder collection so that I can listen to my 2 and 4 min wax records again. They are now in my half-barrel cabinet that has replacement pegs...so I started making little circles with the titles that I can tape on top to make it easier to find certain records. Now the problem is that not all of the two minute records are announced.

I have a mix of oxford and columbia cylinders which all have a number on them.. like the one shown. Is there any database that I can look these up in? The boxes they came in were no help as to the titles or artists. If I can't find out any information about them, I can just give them generic titles; but I would prefer not to do that.

Any help would be appreciated!

David

I tried using that database... but when I search the numbers I don't get anything. I will try again tomorrow.
