Hello all:
I was very lucky to recently find a circassian walnut VV-XVI machine, complete with albums in very nice condition. I found its original paper label stuck inside the record index book it came with. Fortunately the former owner did not discard it. It was originally attached to the back of the machine, not in the lower album compartment where they're typically found.
The label is in two pieces and very fragile. I'd like to find a high-resolution scan or photo of an identical label in good condition-something I could print and attach to the machine while saving the original in a clear archival sleeve.
If anyone can help I'd appreciate it! A pm or email would be easiest for me to respond.
Below are a few pictures.
Thanks!
Bob Barnett

Thank you! It was sold out of a small auction house in South Carolina. I collector friend alerted me to it and I made the 1100-plus miles from Maryland in an overnight trip to bring it home.

That's a fine suggestion! Too bad all the earlier images are gone...Pathé Logical wrote: Sun Jul 16, 2023 3:19 pm Very nice Bob --- congrats!!!

I have one but it is an earlier L door. I don't know if the label is the same. I can take a picture and send it to you. Sorry I don't know why the picture posts sideways.

Thank you! If yours has the 1913 date on the lower left corner it would likely be the correct one.
Thanks again.

From a profane enthusiastic member..
Be patient and someone with the right label will appear. there are here many enthusiasts of the wonderful xvi, and sooner or later someone will read this and come back with a good label scan for you to replicate.
