Wanted: Someone to rebuild Pathé Actuelle diffusor or replacement diffusor
I bought a gothic looking Pathé actuelle today. Who rebuilds the reproducers/diffusors on these machines. I want to get it sorted out and back in prime shape..

Is the original still in place but damaged? Or is it missing altogether?
A picture would definitely help...

The paper cone is damaged fairly significantly in the center, I don’t know if there is anything to do to revive it or not.. The metal/mechanical parts are all there..

Try contacting Buford Chidester by sending an email to [email protected]
Buford is the expert with making reproduction paper cones for the 1920 vintage radio speakers and he can make them for Pathé Actuelle machines. The only issue might be that if he doesn't have a source for the original type of paper, which has thousands of tiny brown dots printed on both sides of it, it might not have the exact original appearance.

I just bought one from Buford last week for my Actuelle. He does outstanding work and my Actuelle sounds great. He was also very helpful with all of my questions.

Do you have his contact info other than email, I sent him an email but have not heard back.. The website I got it on looks very dated and is loaded with viruses.
