Wow, congratulations! Fantastic find!

Looking at the tape measure in the blurry photos it appears to have become oval at the mouth (many of them have over the years - of no real consequence) and the diameter varies between roughly 60cm and 70cm. That would put the original diameter at somewhere very roughly 65cm or 25 ½ inches so (from memory and in haste) it's probably a Xa or Xb. Others will no doubt chime in with closer information.

A link would be helpful. I'm not finding anything by doing a search?
Thanks! ;)

There were photos in the original post and a different thread title, now removed, hence my original reply above.

Sorry if you've been scammed Teak, hope that works out OK... Nasty business.

Years ago an ad showed up of an EMG for sale, but it was located in the Shetlands - the seller would accept half of the price in advance as guarantee, and then the buyer would send the other half after delivery of the machine. I am not sure if he found buyers for it.

I confess I looked all over for this EMG, because I had wondered how I missed it. I checked all the usual sites that I used to check in DACH, and just could not find it. So sorry to hear that it was actually a scam.

Because I work on an oil rig in the north sea, this was an easy hop for me by the rig's helicopter to pick it up. Surprisingly it was suddenly not available anymore?

Funnily enough I had a similar thing happen to me with a DGAG De Luxe III in central France. I was already suspicious, as it is already uncommon to find DGAG gramophones in France, but told the seller I could be there in the morning to look at it... After multiple follow-ups, all I got was silence. I then did a reverse search, found the images, and they were promptly reported and banned.
