Unknown(?) Phono in the 1898 "Phonoscope"

Post by AllenKoe »

Is it worth doing some research on an unusual cylinder phonograph that may not exist?

Probably most people who have browsed the ultimate Wish Book have wondered about the 'perfect and durable' $7 Euphonic on p. 3. Like its lookalike brethren, the Amet Echophone, it also had a glass tube for the tone-arm [see below].

But did it actually get made and sold? Anyone have (or ever see) one of these "ghost" machines?

Thx.
