So in another ad I said I was going to start selling off some of my collection and getting rid of the more common machines. And this is true and happening. Now I am sounding a bit like a hypocrite. I have 3 circassian walnut Victor Victrola XVI's that I am going to list and try to sell. I would like just 1 circassian to replace the others. This will also free up some space.
I am interested in buying a circassian L-door VTLA. I only know of 1 member with one but maybe there are others that are keeping theirs a secret. If anyone has one or knows of one and is interested in selling, please give me the courtesy of trying to make a deal with you.
Thanks.
Mike

Maybe for some, but to me, the Sonora Supreme looks like a stove and I don’t really like it. It may be a great piece of craftsmanship, but I would take the VTLA over the Sonora.gstone wrote: Thu Aug 17, 2023 1:33 pm For the record, the Holy Grail of Circassians is the Sonora Supreme with matching record cabinet!!!

Re: WANTED: THE HOLY GRAIL OF CIRCASSIANS
I wasn't looking for a debate on which is the holy grail of circassian phonographs. Everyone will have their favorite and there is no wrong answer to your own beliefs.
I was putting it out here that I am looking to buy a circassian walnut VTLA L-door Victor XVI. So if someone has one they are willing to sell or knows of one for sale, please reach out to me.
Thanks.
Mike

I was laughing the whole time I was reading that debate. It's like teaching a class where you're trying to lead the class in one direction yet they just noticed something shiny on the wall...PHONOMIKE wrote: Sun Aug 20, 2023 1:35 pm I wasn't looking for a debate on which is the holy grail of circassian phonographs.
