SOLD - CIRCASSIAN WALNUT L-DOOR - $5,500

Post by PHONOMIKE »

As some of you might have read, I've decided to shrink my collection. When I'm done I only plan on having a few that will be special to me. So here we go. 1st up is a nicely working and complete Victor circassian L-door.

This Victor Victrola XVI was refurbished some time before I bought it. It's a good job but it does have a shine to the surface. Everything works well and the motor easily plays several records on a single wind with no noise.

What I think is special about this one is that the front and sides have matching patterns. Other circassians I have owned have the sides the same but have a different front pattern. I can't remember seeing another like this or maybe I never looked hard enough to notice.

Now as I ask for advice in another thread, the right side (crank side) was facing a window that had shears, but some sun still made it thru to the machine. It is a bit faded compared to the other sides. If there is anything good to take from that is that it's perfectly faded on that side and not part of it or on the other sides. I've tried to show this the best I can in the pics.

I can not ship this. I live in Canada right on the Detroit border. Pick up is preferred or I can deliver it to Stanton's in November if that helps.

This is a nice and rare machine that would look good in any collection as it has in mine for years. Here is a chance to make it a focal point of your collection.

I am asking $5,500 but I will listen to fair offers. PM me with any questions or if you need more pics. Thanks.

Mike

That animal picture on the side is cool. Only question is, is it a cat or fox or?

Its a stunning machine with a llama on the crank side. If I was not also downsizing, I would be seriously considering this machine. Just Beautiful!
