Pathé suitcase phonograh

Post by dober57 »

I have a Pathé suitcase Phonograph,I would like to know more about it,but there is no plaque with a model #,nothing at all. It's in Very good condition.I've looked on the internet but there is very little on Pathé's a few for rare ones.I'm guessing this one was around in the 30's and 40's.Is there a web site or business that deals with Pathé's?

Is it a French or American machine, and does it play lateral or vertical cut discs (or both)?
You may have to post some pics of the machine, although I dont think Pathé portables would be all that common outside of France.
Pathé discs (in their lateral form) were also pressed in India & China, so they may have manufactured or rebadged a line of portables as well?

neat machine... but that's not the correct reproducer, and I don't think the tonearm is right either. the shape is off... there also should be some sort of attachment that connects it to the semi-automatic stop assembly that's mounted beneath the turntable.
