A mini Victor V

Just for fun I printed this mini Vic V on one of the commercial printers at school. There’s still some soluble support in the horn but I thought I’d take some pics of it before I leave today.

I have to do test prints every week on the printers so I can do a new phono each week. What should I print next?

Soon I’m gonna have a windowsill full of mini 3D printed phonographs

It's pretty small.. the base is maybe 1.5"x1.5".

I made another one on the printers in the background that is bigger than the one I made today... but I snapped the horn and crank off trying to get the supports off. It's a lot easier to just print it and stick it in the acid bath to get rid of the supports! If my boss is still okay with me making these every week... I will keep updating this thread!

How Cool! Be great to have those as a display to show new collectors the progression and different models of machines. Let's see Victor, Edison, Brunswick...you get the drift!

That's true- but the mainsprings could be repacked with tweezers !

Ok so it sat in the bath too long and the horn broke off. I ended up heating a used phono needle and sticking it between the broken parts.

The black model is a larger scale model of the grey one. I printed the black one on a Prusa MkIII printer out of PLA. Both models didn’t turn out quite how I hoped but it’s good enough. I will see about fixing the grey one… idk if a needle will fit in that small back bracket.

I'm thinking that there may be a market for these, since they are accurate mini models. The ones normally found are generic pencil sharpeners, etc. A complete Victor Mini collection would be cool...
