Coming to Wayne: MANY items from the Charley Hummel collection

This Sunday at the Wayne, NJ phonograph show myself and three friends who now are the caretakers of our friend and mentor Charley Hummel’s collection will be offering pieces from his collection for sale. We purchased Charley’s collection to carry on his legacy through our collections but we can not keep everything. Our goal now is to help bring a bit of Charley’s incredible life passion in collecting phonographs and other Edisonia to the collecting community. We will have phonographs, advertising, books, ephemera, phonograph parts and accessories, etc. for sale. Phonograph offerings will range from parts and project machines to some oddities from the Columbia Graphaphone Co. archives. We will be at Charley’s table locations at the PAL building. If you are a young collector, please come and check in with Aaron, Neil, Rolf or myself - we would like to help carry on Charley’s legacy through helping young collectors in any way that we can in obtaining some of these pieces for your collection. There is no list of items that will be available at the show. We will have a lot of material to offer and it will take time to bring it all out so check back often to see what surfaces. This will be a first come-first served offering; we expect a lot of interest so please be patient with us. We may have some material available at the Saturday parking lot swap if weather permits. Amazing what you and the small group have done to help the family. A monumental task considering how much there was. Happy things have been sorted and you guys are giving back to the collecting community. May shoot you an email before the show on Sunday with questions. Hope to see you and Neil soon.
