Thanks for posting pictures. Looks like a great show. What kind of items were there from the Charlie Hummel Estate?

There was a Pathé with two tonearms and two horns where the two tonearms both play the same record at the same time. I remember Charlie demonstrating it to me when I visited him years ago. I was very tricky to get both reproducers positioned correctly in the same groove, but then it produced a kind of 3d sound through the slight delay between the two. A true novelty that is extremely rare I think. It was priced at $2,500 but I think they ended up selling it for like $1500, a true bargain. I should have taken a picture

Pathé made some models with two arms, including an electrically amplified one. Some played on a single disc to enhance its volume, like the one you mention, others had two sets of arms and turntables in the same plinth (made to play sequenced records, like silent movie soundtracks and operas). The German Ultraphon also made two-arm machines, but in a completely different shape, they were cylindrically shaped in a Art Déco style. You are correct in the tricky positioning of the tonearms, I have two Ultraphon's and I have to place the needles on the outermost groove end before spinning the turntable, otherwise the play ends in cacophony.

The plastic wheel is a Wimshurst electrostatic generator. A very interesting machine.

The poster is for an Edison movie called The Doctor's Photograph.....I have seen that poster at auction a couple of times
I was wondering what Kinetoscope was at the show....I collect Edison Kinetoscopes and was unable to attend the show on
account of my wife's medical issues ...I have heard that Charley had an old Edison kinetoscope and I purchased a kinetoscope
part from him not too long ago...
