Hello All,
I had a great time at wayne this year, and made a lot of nice purchases! I just wanted to share a few with you folks, and ask a few questions.
First up is a Maroon Gem model D with a K reproducer, its in nice condition, and seems like it will clean up very nicely! I don't really have any questions about it, just sharing!
Next! A Green oak edison home! This one to me is peculiar, It seems to have been redone to my eyes?? But I look at it again and it looks original. The finish is very smooth to the touch. The serial number is H57011. Seems to be pretty early to me, My suitcase home is 30280, so not too-too far away. Here are some pictures of that one. Let me know what you guys think regarding its originality
Yet another is a columbia BQ, it is essentially a BKT, the only difference is a horizontal vs. vertical reproducer. This one doesn't need much work. Reproducer rebuild and a belt, the motor runs strong and quiet. Cabinet is in nice shape and so is the horn. Another one I just want to show off! Its a beaut. [attachment=0]
Those are all the pictures I can show you! I've reached the limit! I put a post in the Yankee Trader section regarding some other purchases, both of which need parts. Not shown but I also bought an original floor crane and 54 inch brass horn, about 200 cylinders (mostly BA, but a few 2 minute gold moulded and some 2 and 4 min indestructables)
Thanks everybody!

Hi Ben, You did very well at Wayne! Congratulations on getting some nice phonographs. Regarding your green oak Edison Home I'm reasonably confident that the cabinet has been refinished with a green stain mixed in and an odd looking banner decal added. I have a nice completely original green oak Edison Home and the green color in the original green oak finish is very "even" throughout the finish. This one has areas where there are spots of green stain noticeable (lid handle, etc.). And the cabinet decal looks as though it has been touched up in spots. The INSIDE of the cabinet does indeed suggest that this started out life as a green oak Edison Home. My thoughts could be wrong but this is what I see. Still a very nice looking Edison Home phonograph! Enjoy!Ben the phono man wrote: Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:36 pm Hello All,
