My collection has gotten too big for me and I am planning on selling several machines and parts. As time goes I will be taking pictures and posting things.
1st up I have this mahogany Victor Victrola IX with matching cart. The fancier base combination. This is a project for someone. The IX is in pretty good condition. Everything is correct and it works but it speed plays a record in 20 seconds. The governor will need some attention. I honestly haven't looked at it so it could be a small quickly fixed issue or something a bit bigger. It has a small mark on the side lid and the crank side and a water mark down the back.
The cart functions well but has a crack in the bottom board and the dividers will need to be reinstalled but are included. Someone before me glued this back together and for whatever reason didn't bother to wipe the excess glue so some time will be needed to remove that.
Pictures show the pair and condition.
I have about $425 invested in this and would like to get my investment back but I am open to fair offers. I can not ship this. It is available for pickup. I live in Canada on the Detroit border. I am willing to bring this to Stanton's in November for delivery if that helps. Thanks.

This is a very uncommon set up and is being offered at a great price. I sold mine a while back for much more. This should sell pretty quick. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Ken. It really is a nice set. Here's a couple more pics of them together.Phono-Phan wrote: Mon Aug 14, 2023 2:59 pm This is a very uncommon set up and is being offered at a great price. I sold mine a while back for much more. This should sell pretty quick. Good luck with the sale.

Re: VICTOR VICTROLA IX WITH MATCHING CART
So being cooler this past weekend (I'm not working in a garage in the heat we've had this summer) I did remove the motor board on the IX. There are no springs or weights on the governor. It's a pretty easy and cheap fix. I checked my parts and I don't have a matching set of weights to install or I would have done it. I did wind up the motor and it is quiet when it is running.
So with that info, make me an offer. Considering it's a cheap, fast and easy fix, this could make a nice addition to your collection at a fair price.

Last chance before Stanton's and I move it to the back of the garage for another day.
