SOLD: Outstanding 1906 Pooley VTLA cabinet --$675- inquire

Post by outune »

Hi All- I am helping to move some items from a deceased friend's estate.

Here is a beautiful, early Flat-top, Pooley VTLA cabinet. I think it would be tough to beat the condition of this original finish cabinet.

This is the first version of the first Victrola-- Label dated August 1, 1906-- Serial # 751. Missing the motor and motorboard-- Has a few random albums with it and an outstanding condition gold needle cup.

Uses the earliest motor and the motorboard that sits on top of the deck-- Crank toward front of the case.

I know what my friend paid for this cabinet at Stanton's, just a few months before he passed away. It was substantially more than the asking price here.

Please contact me with questions, requests for more pictures, etc. The cabinet is located in Northern Virginia.
Thanks!

Very nice Brad! Wish you lived on this side of the country (or that my son still lived in DC!).

Someone is going to get a great project here!

Thanks Ben and Mike--- Ben and I had a great visit a few weeks ago. He was able to see this cabinet in person-- He left here with a carload of treasures! :)

...and Mike-- I've enjoyed your visits as well... Tell your son he needs a DC job! :) (Actually, I wouldn't wish that on anyone!)

The cabinet is super nice-- I'm hoping that it will be fully restored to it's original glory.

Still reveling in all of the stuff!!!! Having a great time. I cleaned up that mahogany cabinet, Now I'm looking for a VIC IV.
The Pooley cabinet is truly beautiful, the gold plating is unbelievable as well.
