Obviously some sort of horribly concocted, bizarre Crapophone or Crapanola !! Look how that crazy crank goes in on an angle, typical of later suitcase styles, and Victor never used that style or shape of case. It is a rotten, pretender relic, and should be cursed and shamed for the fraud that it obviously is !!

Where did you see this?
I recognize the turntable and crank assembly. They look to be from a Victor VV-2-55 or VV-2-35 suitcase portable, or possibly a 7-11, which used the same components as the 2-55. (It would be interesting to see what tonearm and sound box they stuck on it.)
Don't know about the horn; and the case looks like it came from
Might be worth $10 or $20 for the parts, if they're in good condition.

Thanks for the info guys, its a Frankie for sure. I asked for more pics from the owner
and will post them when I get them. The weird part is it looks properly aged so it was
probably done some time ago.

Could it have been an early radio case? Even if it was, it still wouldn't explain the Victor lettering, the style of which looks entirely unfamiliar to me.Ortho_Fan wrote: and the case looks like it came from![]()
The top board with the molding looks like it was later added to the bottom part by whatever franko innovator did the rest.

I think the case is a total fake. It's pine with a big knot in the side and the joinery of the corner columns is pretty bad. The letters on the front are probably just press-on letters, maybe with a coat of varnish over them.

Re: Any ideas what this is?
Well, I guess you could get the seller to reduce his price by about ten times, and then, for $40, you'd have the basic components to complete a 7-11 or a 2-55.
As for the box, I guess, since it seems to be made out of pine, you could always use it for some other purpose, such as...

Exactly where this disgraceful and disgusting make believe relic deserves to be !! Chopped up and buried !! Can anyone make out the Model number of the original Victor ID tag that Dr. Frankenstein attached to this Crappy Craponola ? or did he obliterate the area where the model number would usually be found ?
