A lady contacted me about an Aeolian Vocalion Table Model (Style EE?) that she inherited and wants to give away to a your collector who is interested in repairing it. It looks like her father or grandfather tried to repair it, discovered a broken spring, and didn't know what to do. She told me that the machine had been sitting like this for a long time. On the pictures, one can see the broken spring, the spring barrel and barrel lid. I assume/hope that the rest of the motor is inside, but I have never seen the machine in person. On the positive side, tonearm and reproducer seem to be in one piece/not broken. I found a 1920 catalog page from the UK which lists it as Style EE. Not sure what it would have been called in the US?
Anyway, if there is a young collector who wants to take this on as a project, it is located near Dover, Delaware. Please contact me and I'll forward your information to her.
Thanks
Andreas
