He thinks he's Thomas Edison and has not failed. He's just found 10,000 ways not to do something.

It's a nice horn...
Can't find the listing... did you buy it?

Very interesting framed picture in photograph number three.
I wonder what they are / where it is / what it represents ?
They look as if they could have chewed the hole in the lid when no-one was watching ?

A website for Michael Whelan calls it "Sentinels": https://www.michaelwhelan.com/shop/sentinels/poodling around wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 12:12 pm Very interesting framed picture in photograph number three.

Amazon has it as "Famous Artist Roger Dean Fantasy Landscape Art Poster" here: https://www.amazon.com/Landscape-Painti ... MSQRL?th=1
It's about a third cheaper through Wehlan. I think he's actually the artist and Amzon's attribution is mistaken. His website describes him thus:
Michael Whelan is one of the world’s premier painters of imaginative realism.
For more than 40 years he has created book and album covers for authors and musicians like Isaac Asimov, Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Brandon Sanderson, the Jacksons and MeatLoaf. His clients have included every major U.S. book publisher, the National Geographic Society, CBS Records, and the Franklin Mint. [plus a lot more I haven't copied]
Thanks to Google image search for turning it up. I'll confess, I knew nothing of the print or its maker (whoever that turns out to be) before.
[edit] Hippity hop down the rabbit hole I go. I just looked up Roger Dean, and he's another artist specializing in fantasy scenes for album and book covers and whatnot. Among other things, he's done a good bit of work for albums by the rock group Yes. Looking at the things on his website, I don't see the print in question, which does appear on Whelan's, and Dean's style is rather different. So I think we can safely say Amazon's attribution to Dean is mistaken.

Wow. Who would think that a good idea! Judging by the reproducer it's probably a Standard D with an E horn.

Don’t think I’ve seen anyone do that!
Hope that was done 50+ years ago and not recently!
