Newbies posting on this forum

Post by Phonofolks »

I noticed a couple people posted this week on this forum stating they are newbies. Is the forum administrator allowing new people to join again?

Don't know anything about letting new members join, but I did make a post s few days ago and identified myself as a "newbie" I actually joined almost two years ago, in deference to members who have much more experience and knowledge than I do, I still considers myself a "newbie".

My understanding is that David has caught up on several forum applications. So yes, apparently the gates have been opened to new members.

Yes, this forum has been accepting newbies again. Myself being one of the newbies. I tried to join this forum a year ago to no avail and saw on the APS forum that people were being accepted again to this forum so here I am.
So allow me to say greetings from Illinois! Glad to be here!

It's great to see new members! Welcome! I have collected "on and off" for about 20 years or more now (since I was a teenager....) and still feel like a "new guy" compared to the knowledge and wisdom of some of the other collectors on this forum. I have researched select phonograph companies in great detail and absolutely love the hobby. Buying these things can get a little addictive, though.... :?

Noob here as well, as of mid-December. Registered and accepted in the same evening, so it was a pretty quick response.

I and my machines are old, however...

Always very happy to see new collectors join. A lot of the old guard are just that, old. I would hate to see these machines consigned to the junk heap when we are gone.

Glad to see new members! I am already 60, collecting since I was fifteen, but also consider myself an infant when compared with our experts here... ;)

Amicalement.
Pascal.

Hello everyone.
I am a new "newbie" and I have been accepted on the forum to my great satisfaction.
However, I tried to post two topics, the first to introduce myself to you with the photos of my small collection, and the second to ask a question about my phonograph "The BRITTANY" of which I do not know the history or the Date of manufacture.
Unfortunately, these two posts did not go through, I don't understand why, after writing, I click on "submit" and then nothing, I never found them, not even on my account...If an administrator reads this message, I would be grateful if he could help me or unblock the thing.
To introduce myself, I am Pascal, and I live in the South of France, near Sète (34).
Kind regards.
Pascal.
