Re: Columbia Model 600
Starting late in 1925, most of the major phonograph manufacturers--Victor, Columbia, Brunswick, Sonora, etc.--began selling a new line of phonographs--both acoustic and electrically amplified--that were designed to play the recently introduced electrically-recorded records with greater fidelity than the older models were capable of doing. Columbia's offering, the Viva-Tonal phonographs, date from early 1926 and were produced through about 1929/1930.
The only models I knew of in the 600-series Columbia Viva-Tonal phonographs were the 601, 602, 611, 613, and the 650--all of which are illustrated and described in "The Columbia Phonograph Companion, Vol. II," by Robert Baumbach. However, after some web searching, I found a reference to the model 600 in the Music Trade Review from 1926 -- SEE: Would it be possible for you to post a couple of images?

Re: Columbia Model 600
Looks like a decent example. The reproducer has been changed sometime in its life. If you were to get the original style Viva-Tonal reproducer it would sound far better than the one you currently have.
The grill cloth has also been changed. No big deal. If you like it, then so be it.
Here is a Viva Tonal reproducer currently on eBay. The one you would want will be nickel plated and not gold. I'm not recommending this one due to its condition, but just to give you an idea... https://www.ebay.com/itm/325884536138?h ... R-igsM6RYw

I'm actually interested in selling it.
